Ticket Dismissal HQ is an independent guide to getting a traffic ticket dismissed, points removed, or insurance lowered by taking a state-approved driving course. We started with Texas, the state with the clearest (and most-used) dismissal law, and are adding Florida, New Jersey, New York and California.
Why this site exists
Every year millions of drivers pay tickets they could have dismissed, because the option is buried in fine print on the citation, the court’s website is confusing, and the course providers’ sites are more interested in selling than explaining. Meanwhile the rules — who qualifies, the deadline, what the court needs from you — are written in statutes anyone can read. We read them and write them up in plain English.
What we do
- Explain each state’s dismissal, point-reduction and insurance-discount rules, with the statute and the regulating agency named on every guide.
- Review the online course providers on the things that matter: state approval, real price, certificate delivery, and what happens if a court rejects the certificate.
- Keep it current. Every guide shows its last-updated date, and we re-check fees and rules when legislatures and agencies change them.
What we don’t do
We are not a law firm and don’t give legal advice. We don’t sell courses; we link to providers and earn a commission if you enroll, which we disclose on every page that has such a link. We don’t accept payment for placement or rankings. If your situation is unusual (a CDL, a crash, a suspended license, an out-of-state ticket) talk to a traffic attorney in the county where the ticket was issued.
